2017-2018 Chamber Orchestra

​​​Beginning Violins and Violas meet in one class period to learn everything about the violin and viola including note reading, rhythm and techniques for their instrument. 6th grade is when most students start an instrument.

Beginning Violins meet in one class period to learn everything about the violin including note reading, rhythm and techniques for their instrument. 6th grade is when most students start an instrument.


Beginning Cello and Basses meet in one class period to learn everything about the bass and cello including note reading, rhythm and techniques for their instrument. 6th grade is when most students start an instrument.

Symphony Orchestra is the outstanding nonvarsity group at Bayside. Students from 7th and 8th grade are in this group. They perform five times a year at concerts and UIL contest. Students also perform at Solo, Ensemble and Region.


Chamber Orchestra is the top performing group at Bayside.  It consists of mostly 8th graders with a few outstanding younger students as well.  They perform about seven times a year at various concerts, contests and festivals. Students also perform at Solo, Ensemble and Region.
